Pompano – Jan 25

Join us in Pompano, Florida – January 24-26, 2025

Why Pompano

With the third largest barrier reef in the world, the Southeast Florida Reef Tract, Pompano is home to hundreds of species of fish, moray eels, turtles, and sharks.  Here, the Gulf Stream Current flows nice and close to shore, bringing clear warm water with it.  The reefs are relatively shallow, meaning no long boat rides out!  Furthermore, the prevailing current typically runs parallel to the coastline, providing great opportunities to go with the flow on a drift dive.

Travel Plans

Join us for 6 dives with South Florida Diving Headquarters as we explore reefs and wrecks! Two of our dives are night dives, where you’ll interact with all sorts of critters that hide during the day, such as octopuses, basket stars, crabs, lobsters, and crinoids. Due to the depths of some locations, this trip is open to Advanced Open Water (AOW) divers onlyHowever, if you are not AOW certified, you may complete your AOW training on this trip.  Already an AOW diver?  Consider adding on a Nitrox class or becoming specialized in Peak Performance Buoyancy.

For this trip, we’ve booked with Tru by Hilton along the Pompano Beach Pier, just minutes from the dive shop, harbor, and right on the beach!  If you are a solo diver, we will do our best to pair you up with another like-minded diver of the same gender. With only eight available spots, this trip is sure to book out quickly!
